YMCA International Tourist Centre - Vythiri Post, Wayanad

The YMCA Alwaye Project is one among the projects of The National Council of YMCAs of India. The YMCA Tribal Development project was a long-cherished project of the YMCA Movement. It was a reality during the year 1991. Since then the YMCA Centre was doing a tremendous activity for the betterment of the indigenous people in Wayanad District, Kerala. YMCA did so many social/cultural/religious programs for the people with the support of the Government and the people in and around of Vythiri Hill Station. The Wayanad District Administration and Government Departments have been accepted our service very much for the community. YMCA has been giving helping hand to the Youth/ Women and Children freely move forward to society for getting their right through proper Chanel

Presently, we have a Camp Site & International Tourist Centre in Vythiri having limited facilities of Guest rooms Conference Hall, Dormitory Room, Monthly Hostel Rooms, etc. and the vast parking areas and the natural beauty will attract the tourist to come to Wayanad. The hairpin roads and the mountain range and easy access from different other tourist destinations will an added attraction to the centre. YMCA has been arranging programs for the people in and around especially for the Children, Youth and Women. The programs like YMCA Painting Competition, Prayer Week, HiY & Uni Y Camps and Women’s Forum, Conferences etc. are some of the major programs.
